Friends Forever

Meeting old friends, party together and simply relive the German Friendships atmosphere, that's what the "Friends Forever"-Tour is all about.

The "Friends Forever"-Tour offers a "Silver"- and "Gold"-Level.

These competitions are open to former participants of the team competitions who have outgrown the Junior class, including Riders who are invited by the Organisation Committee. All riders must bring their own horse(s).

The "Silver"-Tour is 1.3-meter classes, whereas the "Gold"-Tour is decided upon in 1.4-meter competitions.

Tension rises up to the final competitions on Sunday, both with a jump-off. Truly exciting!

Team Competitions

The team competitions are the principle idea and centerpiece of the German Friendships.

25 Teams compete respectively, in each of the two categories "Children" or "Juniors". The German participant will bring two horses and lend one of them to his team partner.

The riders will get to know each other during a Briefing on Tuesday. Immediately afterwards, they will mount the horses for the first time. On Wednesday they will be trained by national and international coaches. Thursday an official Reception will take place with the Mayor of Herford and Friday through to Sunday is dedicated to the team competitions.

Riders grouped into the Children category will be competing in 1.10- to 1.20-meter-classes. The obstacles for the Junior riders will be 1.20 to 1.30 meter high. In both categories, the youngsters will absolve an initial class, followed by a qualifier on Saturday leading to the final competition on Sunday.

All riders will be recommended by renowned coaches and invited by the Organisers according to their qualification.

Champions Trophy

Do it yourself! The Champions Trophy will be the time for four of the top riders to show they know what they've been talking about all day.

These four will be competing, similarly asin the Final of the World Championships, where Riders have to exchange their horses.

A quick adaptation to a foreign horse - that's exactly what the international guests of the German Friendships are expected to do. This is the reason why the Top Ten Training, as well as the Champions Trophy is so valuable. Watching these events is not only exciting, but also very informative.

Top riders such as Ludger Beerbaum, Franke Sloothaak, Marcus Ehning, Marco Kutscher or Alois Pollmann-Schweckhorst offer top sport on highest levels.

The Champions Trophy will take place on Wednesday, directly after the Top Ten Training.

Top Ten Training

For most of the participants, the Top Ten Training is one of the week's Highlights: Training with the best!

Top Riders such as Ludger Beerbaum, Marcus Ehning, Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, Marco Kutscher, Christian Ahlmann, Eva Bitter, Franke Sloothaak and Karsten Huck gladly pass on their expertise to the young riders.

For many youngsters a dream comes true when they receive tips from their Idols, which before they've known from the world of television only.

Federal coaches Otto Becker, Heinrich Hermann Engemann and Eberhard Seemann came to the Bexter Hof, gave advice or noted one or the other talented rider.

Surely, in 2017 too, renowned coaches will help the young upstarting Riders!
